The Western Ballet School is committed to offering various financial aid opportunities to our students. Financial aid is re-evaluated on a yearly basis, so if you were awarded financial aid last year, you need to reapply to have your status reviewed for the coming year. Guidelines for the various types of financial aid are presented below.

Financial aid is given to students who have a need for assistance to help fund their ballet education.  Families who receive financial assistance are expected to contribute to school or performance projects.  These activities will be coordinated through the Western Ballet’s Youth Program Manager and Volunteer Coordinator once the financial aid is approved.

Scholarships may be given out to students within the Financial Aid Program who, in the opinion of the Artistic Staff, are amongst the top of the individual class and show exemplary classroom behavior.  Families who receive scholarships are expected to contribute to school or performance projects.  These activities will be coordinated through the Western Ballet’s Youth Program Manager and Volunteer Coordinator once the scholarship is approved.   This service component is especially important for scholarship students

• A completed application
• A letter to the Artistic Director describing why you should receive financial aid
• This can include your particular financial situation by which you need financial aid, the student’s goals, aspirations, and commitment, etc.
• Copy of your most recent Federal Income Tax Return
• A completed and signed copy of the Financial Aid or Scholarship Contract
