Astrid Arvelo

At the age of 15, Astrid Arvelo entered the Ballet Nuevo Mundo de Caracas directed by Bailarina y Maestra Zhandra Rodríguez and Alfred Bordeianu debuting with two choreographies from his repertoire. Sin Bacilar (by Maestra María Rovira) and Los Colores de mis cinco amores (H.R.) . In 2015 Astrid danced various repertoires in the company such as La Luna y los hijos que tenia of maestro Vicente Nebrada, Lethargy of Walter Castillo, and Pájaro de Fuego choreographic version, Brixio Bell. She joined as a permanent artistic staff in 2016 dancing as a soloist in Coppelia and Don Quixote. In 2018 Astrid competed in the Miami International Ballet Competition USA Obtaining the Silver Medal of the fourth division category.

Hwei-Shin Harriman

Hwei-Shin Harriman started ballet at Marin Dance Theatre at age 4. She trained at City Ballet School of San Francisco and San Francisco Ballet School before joining Dutch National Ballet as a trainee. Hwei-Shin has performed leading roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Raymonda, and La Bayadere, as well as works by Christopher Wheeldon, Helgi Tomasson, John Neumeier, Nils Christie, Ted Brandsen, and Amy Seiwart. She has choreographed and performed with Harvard Ballet Company and guested with José Mateo Ballet Theatre. She currently works as a software engineer and freelance artist in the Bay Area.

Nicole Khoo

Growing up in Singapore, Nicole’s first training was in Chinese Classical Dance. Subsequently, she trained in the RAD and CSTD methods under Mr. Donato C. Ferrer and Mr. Antony Tay and received distinctions in both. She joined the Singapore Ballet’s pre-professional training under Artistic Director Mr. Janek Schergen and had the opportunity to train under principal dancers Ms. Rosa Park, Ms. Chihiro Uchida, and Mr. Etienne Ferrere amongst others. While with the Singapore Ballet, she had the opportunity to dance in their productions of Swan Lake, The Nutcracker as well as Ballet Under the Stars. A highlight was representing the country at an International Dance Festival held in Macau.
From 2015-2017, Nicole joined Tampa Ballet Theatre where she danced soloist and lead roles in Giselle, The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Flower Festival at Genzano, and Coppelia. In 2018, she moved to metro Atlanta to dance with The Georgia Ballet under Artistic Director Daet Rodriguez Diaz and Ballet Mistress Margit Peguero. Over the next four seasons, she grew to appreciate the Cuban style of ballet and dance roles in a multitude of classical ballets and original contemporary works. She has enjoyed dancing in Swan Lake, Giselle (Friends and Wilis), Coppelia, Paquita, Haydn, Les Sylphides, Carmen, and The Nutcracker amongst other neoclassical and contemporary works. She is excited to be invited to partake as a guest performer with Western Ballet and is thankful for the kindness and generosity of this institution.

Ihosvany Rodriguez

Ihosvany Rodriguez was born in Matanzas, Cuba, where he began his career as a dancer at the age of 10. At age 15 he was accepted into the national ballet school where he continued his studies satisfactorily. After three difficult but beautiful years in the national school, he was accepted into the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC) where he participated in many choreographies and classical ballets, and traveled to several countries such as Italy, Spain, Canada, Uruguay, and Venezuela. In 2009 he went to Venezuela. He danced The Nutcracker and Carmen. Ihosvany danced at the BNC for 3 years and decided to expand his path as a dancer trying his luck out of the country. In the beginning, everything was very difficult but he never lost his faith and hope, so thanks to God he is now making his dream come true.

Alison Share

Alison Share  trained at Western Ballet studying with Mark Foehringer, and Marny Trounson.   Alison danced with Peninsula Ballet Theatre for three years before returning to Western Ballet.   Under the direction of Alexi Zubiria, Alison has performed the leading roles in the full lengths of The Nutcracker, Coppelia, La Fille Mal Gardee, and Snow White.  She has also performed works by Vicente Nebrada, Yanis Pikieris and Alexi Zubiria.  Currently she works at Western Ballet as the Assistant to the Artistic Director.
