Summer Intensive 2024
July 8th - August 1st, 2024
Under the direction or Artistic Director Alexi Zubiria, Western Ballet’s Summer Intensive provides students with high quality training in in ballet, pointe, character, jazz and contemporary dance while learning essential choreography. Advanced students also get the opportunity to study classical and neo-classical pas de deuxs. This program offers students incomparable opportunities to study and perform renowned roles in classical and contemporary ballets. An end-of-session performance of classical ballet excerpts and contemporary works will elevate the technique and artistry of our students.
Summer Intensive Schedule
*Group I meets on Fridays from 12pm – 4:15pm & Group II meets on Fridays from 12pm – 3:30pm
Student Placement
New students will be placed according to age and ability.
Group 1: ages 13 -19, equivalent to students moving into Ballet IVb – VII
Group 2: ages 10 – 13, equivalent to students moving into Ballet III -IVa
Group 3: ages 8-10, equivalent to students moving into Ballet I – II
Western Ballet students should register for the level that they have been placed in for the 2024 – 2025 school year. Results of the end of the year exam are sent via email
New Student Placement
Outside students should contact Western Ballet to schedule a placement class at info@westernballet.org or 650- 968- 4455.
Students can also submit a video including barre and center work.

Welcome to Jackrabbit!
All registration for classes, performance participation, and all youth program activities will go through Jackrabbit! Each family will receive a parent portal where families can access all transactions, enrollments, and other important information. And the great thing is it’s all online! Get a jump start and fill out the registration form! Each youth program student will need to fill out the new form to get into the new Jackrabbit system.
